RISD OYSTERTECTURE PROJECT
Images for this coastal Shellfish-friendly project were used to procure funding and promote the project as a transdisciplinary platform where the arts meet the sciences. In addition to their ecological virtues, this collection of geometries would become waterfront destination pieces. Several formats would be proposed: concrete discs on a center spine, plated geodesic half-domes, and structural geodesic spheres. Perforations and patterning would lighten the components and provide additional surfaces for hosting crustaceans.
